Hanshang Valley AI Green Heat & Power Project: CFB Boiler Ignition Ceremony Successfully Held

Chongqing Yizhong Digital Energy Technology Co., Ltd. today ignited the circulating fluidized-bed (CFB) boiler at the Hanyun Valley AI Green Heat & Green Power site in Shayang County, Hubei Province. Launched in December 2024, the project adopts an “IDC + green energy station” model to accelerate circular energy use and low-carbon transformation.

Launched in December 2024, the project adopts an “IDC + green energy station” model to accelerate circular energy use and low-carbon transformation.
The central energy plant and CFB boiler for the Shayang Economic Development Zone district-heating hub are now complete. High-temperature flue gas from the boiler drives a steam turbine to generate electricity for the colocation data center; waste heat from the servers is reused to dry sludge, which is then pelletised into biomass fuel and fed back into the furnace. The closed-loop system—“combined heat & power + waste-heat recovery + biomass cycle”—applies cascaded energy technology to convert refuse into clean fuel while simultaneously delivering computing power, raising overall efficiency.
The ignition marks a critical milestone. By digitising waste-heat recovery and leveraging local Shayang resources, the team aims to maximise the value of green heat and power, optimising both economic returns and energy utilisation. Going forward, the project will continue to expand its green-energy ecosystem, with computing capacity and cogeneration working in tandem to drive sustainable growth.
