Topping Out Ceremony Marks a New Milestone for the Silk Cloud Valley Low-Carbon Computing Power Industrial Park
On September 28, 2024, Qinghai Yizhong Digital Energy Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of ChongqingYizhong Digital Energy Technology Co., Ltd., successfully held the topping out ceremony for the main structure of its Silk Cloud Valley Low-Carbon Computing Power Industrial Park project in Haidong City.
The Phase I project of Silk Cloud Valley includes three liquid-cooled data centers, one supporting facility building, one boiler house, and one substation. Currently, the main structure of Building No. 1, a liquid-cooled data center, has been completed. It is expected that by November 15, before the winter break, Building No. 1 will have finished the masonry enclosure and interior decoration. The other buildings are also scheduled to complete the earthwork excavation and slope support by November 15.
The overall planning area for the Silk Cloud Valley Low-Carbon Computing Power Industrial Park is 300 acres, with plans to construct a data center primarily using zero-carbon liquid cooling technology. Upon completion, it is expected to form a data center with a power capacity of no less than 400MW. The project is designed with a PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) value as low as 1.05 or below, aiming to establish a key national hub node for the integrated computing power network.
In the field of waste heat recovery from computing power, the industrial park's innovative practices have set a precedent for the coordinated development of computing power and thermal energy in China. By effectively capturing and converting the waste heat generated during the operation of computing equipment, the advanced waste heat recovery system is used for heating, hot water supply, and preheating processes in industrial production, achieving maximum energy utilization and energy conservation and emissions reduction.
Furthermore, the industrial park actively explores the recycling of energy during the operation of computing power, applying green technologies such as waste heat recovery from computing power. This approach will create a new industrial layout dominated by the big data industry. It is anticipated that over the next 5 to 10 years, a new economic operation mechanism characterized by stable and efficient performance will be established, along with a new system of people-oriented public services benefiting all citizens.
While deeply engaging in the "one district, six parks" development engine and adhering to the "high-tech, light, and optimized" development model, the Silk Cloud Valley Low-Carbon Computing Power Industrial Park is committed to building a modern industrial park that integrates high-efficiency computing power and green energy conservation.
Qinghai Yizhong Digital Energy Technology Co., Ltd. will continue to uphold the concept of low carbon and environmental protection. Through strengthened cooperation with research institutions and universities, the company will continuously explore and apply low-carbon computing power technologies, enhancing computing efficiency while reducing energy consumption, leading the transformation of computing services towards a greener and more environmentally friendly direction.
The company sincerely invites colleagues from all sectors to join hands, exploring the green application pathways of cutting-edge technologies such as big data and cloud computing, promoting the deep integration of the digital economy and green, low-carbon development, and striving to lead the digital economy into a new era of low carbon and intelligence.
